more than just a workout. this is core club.
the method.
Slow moves. Full intensity.
Lagree is a high-intensity, low-impact training method created by Sebastien Lagree in 1998. It combines strength, muscular endurance, stability and core work in one effective full-body workout. Instead of speed or momentum, Lagree is all about slow, controlled movement and continuous resistance. This keeps your muscles under tension for longer – making even the smallest movements surprisingly intense. At core club., we train the Lagree Method in 50-minute classes on the MegaPro, one the latest generation of Lagree equipment.
How slow can you go?
what makes Lagree different?
You’ll move slowly. Your muscles will start to burn. And yes, you’ll probably shake. That famous Lagree shake comes from challenging your muscles to stay under tension as they begin to fatigue. With minimal breaks between exercises, the workout continuously challenges your strength, endurance and stability – while your core is involved almost every step of the way. You learn to stay controlled, focus on your form and keep moving even when your body would much rather speed things up. It’s physical, but it’s mental too. And because the resistance, positioning and range of motion can be adjusted, the workout can continue to challenge you as you become stronger. You don’t outgrow Lagree. You get better at it – and then there’s always another way to make it harder.
high intensity. low impact.
Lagree creates intensity without relying on jumping, running or fast, high-impact movements. The combination of resistance, time under tension and controlled movement makes the workout incredibly challenging while remaining low impact and gentle on the joints.
The slow, controlled movements activate and strengthen not only the larger muscle groups, but also the deep stabilizing muscles that support your posture, balance and overall body control.
With exercises and resistance that can be adapted individually, Lagree is suitable for different ages and fitness levels – from complete beginners to experienced athletes. It also works exceptionally well alongside other forms of training, whether you run, cycle, play sports or train at a competitive level.
Lagree is not Pilates.
We get this question a lot. While the MegaPro may look similar to a Pilates Reformer at first glance, Lagree and Pilates are two very different methods.
Lagree has a much stronger focus on muscular strength and endurance, continuous tension and intensity, with slow movements and short transitions between exercises. And the MegaPro was specifically developed for the Lagree Method.
ready to feel it for yourself?
You don’t need any previous Lagree experience to start. We’ll introduce you to the MegaPro before your first class and our instructors will guide you throughout the workout.
50 minutes. Full body. Low impact. High intensity.
